It's the end of the year.

Or at least, it's near the end of the year. It's time to look back.

SONG OF THE DAY: Insomnia by Craig David

What a throwback this song is for me. It was at the time this song was popular that all sorts of things happened. But most importantly, it was the beginning of Sec 3, the long pants years. That was when I'd changed class. It'd be that year when I fell out with so many people, but I got to know more people as well. You could say I didn't know what to expect in the years to come.

Seems so fast, from Sec 3 till now. That was 2009. Now's the end of 2011. How time flies.

Anyway, a good friend of mine posted on his blog a couple of pictures from his secondary school years. That compelled me to look through my old photos, and I thought I'd do the same too, along with a couple of pictures from this year.

Would you believe that this hulking beast of a man

This picture is out of context, so don't judge me.

Used to be. Well. Skinnier?

Where are the muscles!?

Yeah. That's me on the left there, with Faith and Julia. Most of you guys should know Julia, since she's like. In MJ. Yeah, we were classmates in sec 1 and 2.

Sec 2 was also the year I experimented with camwhoring. I used to wear these damn goonish glasses.

Well sorry.

My life in Temasek had alot of "that time" moments associated with it.

That time I experimented with putting on a gangster face. And failed.

I'm much better at that now.

DAMN FIERCE RIGHT.

That time when I first got contacts.

Fun fact, if I'm not wearing glasses, I'm actually walking around blind. I haven't worn contacts since end of sec 3.

That time I went to watch High School Musical 3 with my senior. Damn gay.

That time I got Nutella'd for my birthday. Shout out to XAVIER CHUA, whom I didn't know reads my blog.

That time I tried to build Master Chief out of Bionicle pieces. Not bad right actually.

That New Years' Eve when I went to Macdonald's drive through with my friend. In a taxi.

That time I met Spider-man who looks suspiciously Asian.

That time the bubble tea made a smiley face.

That time during sports day when Enterprise was trying to sell drinks.

That time we found a car bumper.

That time we went to Pahang (like Outward Bound)

That time. Uh. Can't really explain and I DAMN FAT.

That time we stayed in school overnight for an A maths camp because our A maths sucked.
Also I DAMN FAT.

That time a lizard dropped out of the hand dryer. for the curious, it says "This rm 4 PCC onli"

That time we graduated. That's Valerie, in case you for some crazy reason can't recognize her.

That time we had prom.

That time I went to Pulau Ubin with friends for the first time. Yes, that's Jia Xin.

That time we had steamboat at my house.

That time we celebrated New Years' at Faith's house.

That time I sat in a spaceship.

Wait a minute.

We've already reached this year. If anything, this year has been one of the most eventful in my whole life.

In the words of Troy and Gabriella, it was the "Start of Something New". And I can't believe I just made that reference.

My first meeting with two of my most favourite people.

And many other friends too.

In quite possibly the best Orientation Group ever that is A1.

The time we helped the 8th to make Wilfred's costume in an attempt to suck up (THE TRUTH IS OUT)

And the carnage that ensued.

When we were at Paddlers' camp.

When we wanted to get into House Comm and discussed it till 3am.

The video we made which is 3 and a half minutes of WTF.

Then we got in. :o

Where's Leon. ):

We made a super big burger.

We danced in the airport and almost got kicked out.

We danced. So much dancing!

And we had fun.

We messed around.

We went to the zoo.

Sancastles could fly.

We won as a school.

We formed a family.

Thank you, everyone I know, for making this year one of the funnest, most enjoyable and most eventful years of my life. The people I talk to, the people I eat with, the people I laugh with. The people I love.

(:

I get by with a little help from my friends.
