Random things.

Random thing number 1.

SONG OF THE DAY: Bangarang by Skrillex

Holy shit.

HOLY SHIT.

Skrillex has a new album.

Need I say more?

Grab it here.

Random thing number 2: Iception. Ice-ception?

A cube within a cube. Ice within ice. What?

I cannot explain how this came to be.

Random thing number 3: Ananas, how do they make money?

A largely unhealthy meal? YES PLEASE.

Seriously, how do they make money? That up there is double-portion bee hoon, two eggs and two hotdogs, all for the more than reasonable price of $3.50.

I'm gonna eat there everyday for the rest of my life.

Random thing number 4: We sent Valerie off!

Aren't we sweet.

Valerie, if you're reading this (though I don't think you read my blog), make sure you're having fun and you're brushing your teeth every morning! And if it ever gets boring just borrow an iPad and play jubeat or something OHHHHH.

Oh yeah, speaking of being kinda cocky.

Random thing 4.5: I am the best.

I have a camera and I am the best photographer in the world.

This photo was taken at the Ananas Cafe at Pasir Ris MRT station. As I was dining, I realised that I had to share the wonder of the value that is the food sold there, so I whipped out my HTC HD7 and transformed it into a camera to capture the moment.

I feel that the lighting perfectly brings out the moist goodness that lies within the bee hoon, and the Yeo's chrysanthemum tea completes the picture with its own presence; a meal is not complete without a refreshing drink.

HAHAHAHA I hope he doesn't read this. For those who know what I'm talking about. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

Random thing number 5: Leon is a nice boy.

He bought presents for Wilfred and I. Before I opened it he said that he bought me said gift because I probably don't have any instance of it. He was right! He told me they were called "boxers". I've never had any boxers before, and neither did Wilfred. Loving our new gifts, we put them on immediately!

Highly fashionable!

Random thing number 6:WTF

What the hell he damn skinny now!

Courtesy of Sharizah who whatsapped me with this.

Random thing number 7: Look what I found

Look at Chin Yue! I think he looks sexy in this picture. You can see Deon at the back too! And Jeanette. And more people but I'm lazy to identify them/don't know who they are.

Random thing number what now: I've started smoking thanks to peer pressure. ):

I am ashamed of myself.

That's all, folks!

I wanna know what love is.

Merry Christmas everyone!

It's Christmas Eve. Rejoice!

SONG OF THE DAY: Last Christmas by Coldplay

A short Christmas Song for a short Christmas post.

It's that time of year where people get together and experience the gift of giving. So sweet! Leon even got something for each of the 9th AHC!

All wrapped in yellow too. (:

Although one present is suspiciously larger than the rest. :o I wonder whose it is.

How did you spend your Christmas Eve?

I spent mine with friends and family. (:

Met my cell group (or at least part of it) at one of my friends' houses. We had lunch and played Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire The Videogame (isn't that a mouthful) which is a freaking difficult game, not that most of you may know or anything.

Then I came home for a delightful Christmas dinner with my family.

Drank with my family, even.

Look at this cute picture.

Grumpy bear is drowning his sorrows next to his wasted friend.

And I got one of the coolest Christmas gifts ever!

Daft Punk's 2001 hit album Discovery! On vinyl!

Let's try this out on the turntable.

Looking and sounding like sex.

Have yourselves a merry Christmas, friends. (:

All I want for Christmas isn't you.

It's for you to be happy.

"Hey how are you?"

I'm doing fine.

Hope you will be too.

(:

You can not talk to someone for so long
yet when you meet them again
you talk like not a day has passed.
You can do that.
But then after a while
in the midst of all the chat
you start realising that people change and
that you yourself has changed.
But the big question is
is it for the better?

I haven't talked to you for so long
and meeting you today was so spontaneous
so weird
cause I thought I'd never meet you again
and if we ever did meet
it'd be cold and unfriendly.

I'm happy to say that I was wrong.
Today was enjoyable.

I was afraid that seeing you today
would make me remember
but luckily
when we were just sitting around
talking
it was just
normal.

I didn't feel spiteful anymore
though I thought I would
but I felt sorry
for being such a loser of a person
back then.
Cause you really deserved better
than the loser of a person
I was.

If you're reading this
just remember that
I made a promise to you before.
No matter what stupid things I said before
I only said them out of spite and jealousy
and no matter what
even if we don't talk to each other
for a long long time from today
if you ever need anyone to talk to
if you ever need comfort
if you ever need anything
you can always just say

"Hey how are you?"

and I'll be there for you.

I may not feel for you anymore
and we may not be as close anymore
but I made a promise to you.

And I'm gonna keep it.

HOUSE COMMITTEE CHALET.

Was it a doozy.

SONG OF THE DAY: Pumped Up Kicks by Foster The People

This song is damn hipster. Indie party. One of the few indie-ish songs that become popular enough to be played through the radios.

It's damn ironic. The indie image thrives itself on indie things. Those less known. Yet the image itself is so popular. So people try to be indie, an image which is based on things less popular... to be more popular.

WHAT?

Anyway, HC chalet ended yesterday. I shall go with a day-by-day thing.

DAY ONE.

So we reached the chalet. It was a bit awkward at first. It was the beginning of our 3 days living together! Wee Pin and I tries to record an acapella version of Pumped Up Kicks, a song which is now stuck in my head, hence its status as song of the day. Quite embarrassing la really, though deep down I think it's pretty damn nice HAHAHA.

Blah blah blah, played some cards. THEN BARBECUE.

It was raining, and we wanted to start the bbq. So myself, Wilfred, Xin Horng, Darren Chia and Edbert went down to bring the pit up to the second floor. And the pit is seriously DAMN HEAVY. Like. Imagine the heaviest thing one could carry. Yes that! It's that heavy. I can't say it was heavier than that because then we wouldn't be able to carry it.

Anyway, being extremely manly men, we succeeded without a hitch (we had to stop and rest like every 3 metres) and the barbecue was a complete success (a few of the naughtier ones tried pouring lighter fluid on the railings and setting them on fire, only to get scolded by a very scary Shurui).

Then came the night time, ohh boy.

Was it fun as heck! We all got. Erm. Really high! After some. Erm. Entertaining games! Er. For example, we had a game where everyone had to say "Sorry but Darren/Darryn rocks" after every sentence. And we had another game where we couldn't say "you".

IT WAS GOOD CLEAN INNOCENT FUN HOORAY now some pictures.

Xin Horng's face totally sums up how. Er. Happy we all were. :D

This was actually taken before we all went crazy for. Erm. Good clean fun!

We are totally normal!

Have you ever seen me with this expression? Also, Valerie and I seem to be from Temasek Poly!

Again, have you ever seen me with this expression? What is Wilfred trying to achieve with holding my face?

AHC having fun, Darren Chia having noodles!

The Atlas House Comm! It's missing Siti and Nicole and Weepin though. ):

That night we barely even slept. After we settled down, some of us when to sleep. I went down to talk to Wilfred, Leon, Valerie, Shurui and Xinhorng. Lotsa secrets came out that night.

"1..2..3 SECRET." was our promise to keep the stuff secret hahaha. Damn lame cheer.

By the time we were finished it was 6plus. I then went to Macs with Leon, Fred, Val and Michelle. We got back to the chalet at about 7plus.

Leon, Fred, Val and I, not having a place to sleep, went over to Valerie's house (yes seriously) to get sleep. I swear, her house has the most cramped shower in the universe. The toilet isn't small, just the shower space is. I had to enter sideways eh wtf. Then when showering I could barely move.

So we slept from 9 to 1 and went back to the chalet.

It's DAY TWO already btw.

So we went to play arcade. Nothing that interesting. And after that I went to get lunch with my dearest Atlas HC. We ate at Mr Chicken Rice, then the feeling damn family hahaha. Siti came while we were eating, and we called Nicole to wish her goodbye since she was going to Sweden, aren't we sweet. She'd better buy something nice for each of us from there, if not she's dead.

Then the rest of the HC came down to eat chicken rice too. After that at about 7plus a couple of us went to watch Mission Impossible, which is a super mindless action flick. It's not bad though, and Tom Cruise is damn hot, but he's getting old.

That night went by with alot of slacking. We slept at about 4plus.

I swear man, Aranda must have like the coldest floor in the whole world man. Valerie can attest to that!

Next day we checked out, ate lunch at Ananas (which I will eat at forever; damn cheap sia the food) and went to Leon's condo to do mass dance stuff. Got home at 5plus, slept at 6, woke up at 6am today (WTH). Then I fell asleep again and woke up at 10. :D

All in all I think the chalet really helped us bond alot, if not then within the AHC at least. Like what Wilfred had said somewhere before but I can't remember, I managed to get to know Valerie a little better! Even being in the same class as her back in secondary school didn't help me get to know her that well. But this chalet gave me the oppurtunity to become closer to her and the rest of the 9th House Committee! I woudn't mind living with these people hahaha. Except Ivan Low cause he apparently steals blankets, and Darren Chia because he steals food.

Today wasn't interesting, all I did was go to tuition, and tomorrow won't be either.

OKAY CAN.

goodbye.

you're in my mind, my dreams, right here to haunt me.

It's the end of the year.

Or at least, it's near the end of the year. It's time to look back.

SONG OF THE DAY: Insomnia by Craig David

What a throwback this song is for me. It was at the time this song was popular that all sorts of things happened. But most importantly, it was the beginning of Sec 3, the long pants years. That was when I'd changed class. It'd be that year when I fell out with so many people, but I got to know more people as well. You could say I didn't know what to expect in the years to come.

Seems so fast, from Sec 3 till now. That was 2009. Now's the end of 2011. How time flies.

Anyway, a good friend of mine posted on his blog a couple of pictures from his secondary school years. That compelled me to look through my old photos, and I thought I'd do the same too, along with a couple of pictures from this year.

Would you believe that this hulking beast of a man

This picture is out of context, so don't judge me.

Used to be. Well. Skinnier?

Where are the muscles!?

Yeah. That's me on the left there, with Faith and Julia. Most of you guys should know Julia, since she's like. In MJ. Yeah, we were classmates in sec 1 and 2.

Sec 2 was also the year I experimented with camwhoring. I used to wear these damn goonish glasses.

Well sorry.

My life in Temasek had alot of "that time" moments associated with it.

That time I experimented with putting on a gangster face. And failed.

I'm much better at that now.

DAMN FIERCE RIGHT.

That time when I first got contacts.

Fun fact, if I'm not wearing glasses, I'm actually walking around blind. I haven't worn contacts since end of sec 3.

That time I went to watch High School Musical 3 with my senior. Damn gay.

That time I got Nutella'd for my birthday. Shout out to XAVIER CHUA, whom I didn't know reads my blog.

That time I tried to build Master Chief out of Bionicle pieces. Not bad right actually.

That New Years' Eve when I went to Macdonald's drive through with my friend. In a taxi.

That time I met Spider-man who looks suspiciously Asian.

That time the bubble tea made a smiley face.

That time during sports day when Enterprise was trying to sell drinks.

That time we found a car bumper.

That time we went to Pahang (like Outward Bound)

That time. Uh. Can't really explain and I DAMN FAT.

That time we stayed in school overnight for an A maths camp because our A maths sucked.
Also I DAMN FAT.

That time a lizard dropped out of the hand dryer. for the curious, it says "This rm 4 PCC onli"

That time we graduated. That's Valerie, in case you for some crazy reason can't recognize her.

That time we had prom.

That time I went to Pulau Ubin with friends for the first time. Yes, that's Jia Xin.

That time we had steamboat at my house.

That time we celebrated New Years' at Faith's house.

That time I sat in a spaceship.

Wait a minute.

We've already reached this year. If anything, this year has been one of the most eventful in my whole life.

In the words of Troy and Gabriella, it was the "Start of Something New". And I can't believe I just made that reference.

My first meeting with two of my most favourite people.

And many other friends too.

In quite possibly the best Orientation Group ever that is A1.

The time we helped the 8th to make Wilfred's costume in an attempt to suck up (THE TRUTH IS OUT)

And the carnage that ensued.

When we were at Paddlers' camp.

When we wanted to get into House Comm and discussed it till 3am.

The video we made which is 3 and a half minutes of WTF.

Then we got in. :o

Where's Leon. ):

We made a super big burger.

We danced in the airport and almost got kicked out.

We danced. So much dancing!

And we had fun.

We messed around.

We went to the zoo.

Sancastles could fly.

We won as a school.

We formed a family.

Thank you, everyone I know, for making this year one of the funnest, most enjoyable and most eventful years of my life. The people I talk to, the people I eat with, the people I laugh with. The people I love.

(:

I get by with a little help from my friends.
